When you call for an appointment

At the recommendation of CDC, before scheduling your appointment we will be asking the following screening questions.  Notably, all patients need to consider these questions prior to scheduling an office visit:

  • Do you have fever and/or respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath?
  • Have you traveled to a COVID-19 affected geographic area within the past 14 days? (China, Iran, S. Korea, Europe, cruise ship or any high-risk sites in U.S.)
  • Have you had close contact with a person who traveled to high risk sites or has COVID-19?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, we will not be able to schedule your appointment until you have been tested for the COVID-19 virus.

How we’re changing our processes:

Stagger Patients Appointments: We’re spacing our appointments further apart to allow extra time for disinfecting before and after each appointment and to avoid overlapping patients in the waiting room.

Confirmation Style: As mentioned above, we will require each patient to answer several screening questions regarding symptoms, fever etc. prior to scheduling an appointment

Modified Patient Check-In: We ask you to “Check-In” from your car upon arrival at the office. Patients will only be allowed to come up to the office once the previous patient is gone and disinfecting is complete.

Office Entry Restricted: Only patients may enter office for appointment. Spouses, friends, caregivers and parents may assist patients to the front door and hand-off to the Doctor, after which we’ll ask you to wait outside in your car. We will call you when the patient is done and ready for you to pick them up

Protective covering: All patients must wear a properly fitting protective face mask. All our staff will also ware a face mask for the duration of your treatment.

Teleheath Options:

While not ideal, we are offering to see patients via Facetime. If you are not able or not comfortable with an in-person visit, we can schedule to provide what services we can via Facetime. Please ask about this option when you call.
